自 己 紹 介 A wonderful day dear students!

My name is Teacher Tobey. ^_^
Nice to meet you here!
I am what's called a Japanophile.
It means I love Japanese culture and its people! <3 <3 <3

At my university, I took up International Studies because I love learning about geography, world cultures, peoples and especially, their languages.

My TOEIC score is 955/990.

I have taught English for more than two
years now, from kids to adults and to the elderly. And I must say, the Japanese personality is very endearing to me. I'm so delighted to have met and befriended many Nihonjin because it has been my childhood dream to have many Japanese friends. This is why I'm also studying Nihonggo.

My dream in the future is to become a successful Anison and J-Pop singer and also a mangaka! In my free time, I rehearse a lot of English and Japanese songs. I also write and develop my own stories and characters so that in the future, I can get published in Shonen Jump Magazine! :-O

My style in teaching English is very cheerful, energetic and omoshiroii!
And if you have difficulty in speaking, that's alright, because I can speak a little Japanese. I can guide you to learning English the easy and fun way, so "Hazukashii garanaide ne?" ^_^

I am looking forward to meet you soon!
Yoroshiku onegaishimasu! :-D

Thank you so much, Tobey for the lesson on 23 Sep. 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I'd rather stay at home to rest than go out during the holidays.
If I go out, such as traveling to the last minute, the fatigue hinders the progress of my work.
In addition, going out is likely to spend much money.
For instance, eating out costs a lot because restaurant prices include service charges. So it's reasonable for me to buy ingredients and prepare food. In addition, the prices are getting higher due to the inflation.
Considering the fact, the best way during holidays is to stay at my home in terms of my finance and tiredness.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Tobey.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the YouTube video "The Reason Why Sexism in Japan is Still Socially Accepted!" that you kindly selected on September 20 2024.
In the video, the woman said she was asked a terrible question during a job interview in a traditional Japanese company.
However, as I mentioned in the lesson, asking private information during a job interview is illegal. I have experience of becoming a job interviewer and I took a training as an interviewer.
In the training, the interviewer must not ask private information, such as family structure, single or married, having children, and so on.
For that reason, the interviewer in the video absolutely violated the Japanese law.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Tobey.
As the YouTube video you showed said, the Japanese royal family has a strict rule that does not allow female heirs to take the throne.
So, the current emperor is thinking of revising the law to allow female emperor, because he has a daughter.
I’m in favor of the idea, because a gender should not be considered to ascend the throne.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Tobey.
Disney movies are very popular among Japanese people.
The original names of Disney movies are different from the Japanese ones.
For instance,
- "Big Hero 6" and "Baymax"
- "Tangled" and "Rapunzel ont the tower"
- "Grandpa Carl's Flying House" and "Up"
- "Remy's Delicious Restaurant" and "Ratatouille"
- "Arlo and the Boy" and "The Good Dinosaur"
, etc.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Tobey.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article "Japan's Young Are Now Its Loneliest Generation, Overtaking The Old. Why?" that you kindly selected on 5 Sep. 2024
I'm not against the idea that the young generation should experience loneliness for a certain period of time.
The feeling loneliness can be considered as a kind of training program to mature.
However, feeling lonely for a long time can be mentally and physically harmful.
Therefore, they should find a partner to stop the feeling when they reach a certain age, such as 30 years.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Tobey.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article "Why You Should Be Worried About Facebook's Metaverse | System Error" that you kindly selected on 3 Sep. 2024

As I said in the lesson, 'Metaverse' is considered a complete failure in Japan because it is little known, its purpose is unclear.
There have been similar services from the 'Metaverse' in the past, but they all failed completely even in Japan.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Tobey.
As I said in the lesson, I'm going to be a job interviewer for our company.
When I graduated there weren't many jobs in the market, but it's a seller's market now, so it's common for excellent applicants to receive multiple job offers.
For that reason, I and my interviewers seek to help applicants make up their minds to choose our company by asking them questions that will help them imagine working for our company.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.
