She is smart and explained well the issues facing the Philippines.
I learned a lot from her, not only in English conversation but also in many other areas.

Thank you so much, Joycie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article "Japan Plans Luxury Hotels for Its National Parks" that you kindly selected on July 31 2024.
As I mentioned in the lesson, the advantages of building luxury hotels outweigh the disadvantages.
For example, building the hotels can improve the current Japanese economic condition because it can hire many employees.
Meanwhile, building hotels does not damage the nature so much because there is a strict law to protect the environment in Japan.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Joycie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the material based on the article "Being in Nature Could Change Our 'Sense of Time'" that you kindly selected on May 21 2024.
In my childhood, I felt that time passed so slowly. Meanwhile, I feel that time passes so quickly nowadays.
This article proves this phenomenon.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Joycie.
It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the article 'Japanese Scientists Make New Sake Drink from Trees' you kindly chose.
New Sake made from trees sounds interesting from the point of view of redundant trees in Japan.
As I mentioned in the lesson, most of Japanese may have pollen allergies from certain trees, Cedar, Cypress and so on.
The Sake could cause allergic reactions to those who have the allergies.
For that reason, I don't recommend that they drink the new Sake at all unless the Sake is guaranteed to be safe enough.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Joycie.
It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the article 'Hawaii: Visiting the Original Island Paradise' you kindly chose.
The Hawaii reminds me of the most popular resort among Japanese.
As I said in the lesson, this article shows not only the typical Hawaii scene but other attractive landscapes. So, I was a little bit surprised to see the photo of Hawaii that shows a trail either side is covered with many bamboo trees, because it’s like a typical scene of Japan.
However, the weakness of Japanese currency impedes Japanese people to go to Hawaii. I'd like to visit Hawaii someday.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the article 'Japan Win First World Cup Game Despite Strong Chile Debut' you kindly chose.
Nowadays, there are many sports matches in which Japanese teams have won, for instance baseball, basketball, soccer and rugby.
It seems that rugby is the least popular sport among them in Japan.
I suppose that most Japanese citizens are keen to know the results of the sports.
For that reason, many Japanese will post blessing messages if the Japanese rugby team wins the next match.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Joycie.
It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the interesting article 'You'll Win Hands Down with These Racing Expressions you kindly chose.
I've learned the following expression in the article.
1) Won hands down
2) On the home stretch
3) Its neck and neck
4) Dark horse
The 4) is well known as one of Japanese words and loan words.
The 1) and 3) was my unfamiliar expression.
I can easily guess the meaning of the 2).
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the article "The Health Benefits of Japanese Style Bathing" you kindly chose.
As the article says, I take a bath every day. This habit brings us a good rest, release my stress out.
In addition, it also brings me and time to think of something of any solutions to my private issues as long as I'm tied up with current job.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the interesting article "89-Year-Old Japanese Surfer Hopes to Surf Until He's 100" you kindly chose.
As I mentioned in the lesson, I know the following eldery Japanese people.
1) An alpinist who achieved climbing crest of Mt. Everest at his 80-year-old.
2) A 92-year-old female office worker works 8 hours a day.
3) A basketball player in his late 80's officially belongs to a basketball team.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the interesting article "London Artist Makes House in Garbage Bin" you kindly chose.
As I mentioned about the status of a residence in Japan, in general, the price of a condominium is higher than a detached house and an apartment in metropolitan area. On the other hand, the price of a detached house is higher than condominium in rural areas. The apartment has poor structure, thin wall, not stiff structure, so I don’ t recommend it for a family.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the interesting article "A Beginner's Guide to Ordering Coffee in English" you kindly chose.
I sometimes visited Starbucks that is the most popular coffee shop even in Japan before the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, it's not easy for me to order customized coffee even in Japanese. So I memorized my favorite coffee, VanillaA Cream Frappuccino adding more cream, skinny milk and caramel sauce.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

hank you so much, Joycie. It's been a while, hasn't it?
It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the interesting article "Australia's Red Center: Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park".
I've seen the red mountain that stands out in the desert, but I haven't known the name of it until I read this article.
There are many famous sight-seeing spots in the world, but the sites that are not allowed to enter are rare.
Nowadays, we can see major tourist attractions with advances in technology, such as Google view, so the necessity to travel has become less. I suppose taking advantage of these technologies is a good idea until the pandemic and the conflict completely end.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was a pleasant, tactful class as usual from the material based on the interesting article "Little Girls Doubt Women Can Be Brilliant" you kindly chose.
As I said in the lesson, Japan is on a global trend toward gender equality, but there is apparently still a gender gap.
Therefore, I suppose that little Japanese girls tend to doubt that women can be brilliant.
I don't agree with the tendency, because this idea may jeopardize property of Japan.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.
