Thank you so much, May.
It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Japan's Vending Machine Culture Hits Hard Times' that you kindly selected for me on 18 March 2026.
As this article mentioned, there are tons of vending machines in Japan.
In the Tokyo metropolitan area, you can see them every 50 to 100 meters.
However, I seldom purchase any beverages from vending machines due to the high prices, except for the ones in our office.
The drinks in our office vending machines are less expensive than those outside, because our company provides some sort of subsidy.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, May.
It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Six in 10 Japanese Visit Hyakkin Shops Monthly' that you kindly selected for me on 14 March 2026.
Today, there are many products in online shopping malls, but they are more expensive than those in 100-yen shops.
Based on my experience, the quality of products in online shops is not as good as I had expected.
For that reason, I prefer shopping at 100-yen shops to buying things online.
I have also been concerned about rising prices at Japanese 100-yen shops due to recent inflation.
Currently, there is a very low probability of inflation subsiding, given the ongoing geopolitical conflicts worldwide.
I'm happy to support 100-yen shops by purchasing items there frequently.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Garbage Tops List of Japan's Hidden Moving Costs' that you kindly selected for me on 11 March 2026.
Having relocated multiple times, I fully understand how costly moving can be.
Fortunately, there are several ways to minimize these expenses.
First, it is advisable to avoid peak moving seasons like March and December.
Additionally, you should utilize municipal services to dispose of unwanted items affordably.
Finally, packing your belongings yourself can significantly contribute to reducing overall costs.
Given the current economic climate, applying these strategies is highly recommended.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, May.
It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Tokyo Store Encourages Visitors to 'Steal' Items' that you kindly selected for me on 7 March 2026.
I researched a unique store in Tokyo called 'TOH', where visitors are challenged to 'steal' items.
The store functions as an interactive amusement attraction.
Participants must purchase a 1,500-yen ticket and are given a mere one minute to complete the heist.
The rules are exceptionally strict and heavily favor the organizers.
You are allowed to steal a maximum of three items.
However, even the slightest sound, like a floorboard creaking, triggers a buzzer.
Consequently, most visitors leave empty-handed.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, May.
It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Gunma Tops List for Rural Relocation in Japan' that you kindly selected for me on 5 March 2026.
First of all, Gunma Prefecture is classified as part of the Tokyo metropolitan area by a Japanese law and is not considered a rural area in Japan.
Consequently, the lists of top destinations for rural relocation in Japan are less reliable than commonly believed.
If the metropolitan area can be included in the list, I recommend Yamanashi Prefecture.
This is because the Linear Shinkansen will be available in five years, and there is a Yodobashi Camera, a famous electronics retailer. In addition, it also has beautiful nature.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, May.
It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Employee Turnover Is Often Preventable, Survey Finds' that you kindly selected for me on 4 March 2026.
There are some employees who are open to being persuaded to stay at their current company.
Meanwhile, there are others who are firmly determined to leave.
Taking precautionary measures, such as one-on-one meetings, would not be effective for the latter, as their decision is already final.
Incompetent employees in traditional Japanese companies are less likely to leave their jobs, as they are satisfied with their current status, enjoying stable salaries, good fringe benefits, and the company's brand value.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Record Scam Losses in Japan in 2025' that you kindly selected for me on 24 Feb. 2026.
The latest scams are too elaborate to be detected.
According to the news, there are many cases where criminals disguise themselves as police officers, complete with uniforms and ID cards.
So far, these fake cops have only appeared in online video calls.
However, if they were to break into a home like burglars, most residents would be completely defenseless.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, May.
It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Japanese Companies Prefer to Invest Overseas' that you kindly selected for me on 20 Feb. 2026.
Despite the weak yen, Japanese companies are investing heavily abroad, particularly in the US.
There are many high-tech companies that are superior to Japanese ones in the IT, robotics, and semiconductor industries.
Meanwhile, Japanese high-tech companies lag behind their competitors, except in the automotive and heavy industries.
It is quite natural for Japanese companies to invest in excellent companies, expecting high returns.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |
