Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the "Why Working Too Long Lowers Your Productivity" that you kindly selected on 29 Nov. 2025.
I basically agree with the idea that working too long lowers your productivity, unless your task is too tremendous or too difficult.
I used to work overtime to finish extremely challenging projects with tight deadlines.
As I mentioned in the lesson, one of my subordinates is likely to work over time.
One of the main reasons he works too long is that he tends to attend irrelevant meetings.
Probably, his name was probably included as CC in an email invitation to the meeting.
I believe that managing subordinates' workloads is one of a supervisor's most significant responsibilities.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the "Woman Eating Meal on Train Causes Stir in S. Korea" that you kindly selected on 27 Nov. 2025.
This issue is sometimes controversial in Japan, however the conclusion will be the same every time the issue arises.
Eating meals on a super express train, which is called the Shinkansen, is allowed because lunch boxes are sold via onboard sales.
Meanwhile, passengers actually are not allowed on commuter trains to eat meals because the trains are more likely to be heavily jam-packed.
This is because that it would be impossible to eat meals on that train, and the smell might be unpleasant.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the "Japan Rethinks Its Welfare State Amid an Aging Population" that you kindly selected on 22 Nov. 2025.
Japan's National Health Insurance is one of the best social insurance programs in the world.
Japanese citizens can receive advanced medical care at low cost through the insurance system.
Meanwhile, the insurance may face the risk of future collapse due to the limitations of the national budget.
Making sacrifices should be admitted to keep the insurance, such as raising the insurance fee for elderly people.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the "Tokyo Is World's Richest City, New Report Finds" that you kindly selected on 21 Nov. 2025.
The result was beyond my imagination. I thought New York City was the richest city in the world.
It is often said that wealthy people find it uncomfortable to live in Japan because they must pay a lot of taxes there.
In general, a city's rank depends on factors such as its average income, public safety, and natural occupancies.
According to the combination of factors, Tokyo would not be included in the ranking.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the "How Are Japanese Farmers Fighting Rice Shortages with New Methods?" that you kindly selected on 20 Nov. 2025.
According to reports, one of the main underlying causes of the surge in rice prices lies with wholesalers in the rice industry.
In general, they are middlemen who make a lot of money delivering rice.
Even if new technologies to improve crops are realized, consumers would not get rice at an ordinary price due to the middlemen.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the "How Do Germans Balance Work and Family Rest?" that you kindly selected on 19 Nov. 2025.
There is a law that supports parents who are doing child-rearing in Japan.
However, employees who take leaves, such as parental leave, maternity leave, or paternity leave, are more likely to be coldly treated in their offices. In addition, their salaries are reduced during their leave.
For that reason, most Japanese workers are hesitant to take such leaves.
Actually, I have not taken patanity leave when I was working in my previous company.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |

Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable, tactful class, as always, from the the material based on the "Discover How Workers Are Rethinking Work Schedules" that you kindly selected on 17 Nov. 2025.
I appreciate the "microshifting" as a new work style, because employees can easily strike a balance between their work and personal lives.
Meanwhile, many companies in Japan have been getting back to working in office these past few months.
Unfortunately, the "microshifting" and the trend of returning office work are completely contradictory and opposing.
As long as Japanese companies continue the trend, the "microshifting" won't be spread across Japan.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class. |
