Thank you so much, Pie.
It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Japanese People Spend Less Time and Money on Leisure' that you kindly selected for me on 21 August 2026.
Due to inflation and the weakness of the Japanese currency, most Japanese people tend to hesitate before spending time on leisure activities.
However, leisure still plays an important role, especially for motivation and energy.
I would like to find a way to stay motivated and energetic without taking time out for leisure activities, because these require a lot of time and money.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Which Workers Feel the Most Stress?' that you kindly selected for me on 19 August 2026.
Since I am currently a manager, I completely agree with the survey results showing that managers are more stressed than regular employees.
In general, managers' salaries are not particularly high, despite the demanding nature of the role.
Moreover, companies expect managers to constantly improve their performance in terms of financial and workplace environment management.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Tokyo Named Best City for Under-30s' that you kindly selected for me on 18 August 2026.
I admit that Tokyo is one of the most famous cities in the world, but it is often said that the cost of living is too high.
In particular, rent is exorbitant.
In my opinion, Tokyo is an attractive city for single men and women because they are able to tolerate living in tiny apartments.
Meanwhile, it is not comfortable for a household with children due to exorbitant educational expenses.
There are many education-oriented parents who do not mind spending money on education.
Consequently, the monthly fees for cram schools have been increasing.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Major Japanese Conveyor Belt Sushi Chains Compete in New International Markets' that you kindly selected for me on 17 August 2026.
Sushiro and Kura Sushi are two major conveyor-belt sushi chains that are well known across Japan.
When it comes to expanding a food business on a global scale, localization is a significant key to achieving success.
This means that strictly authentic sushi might not always be popular in other regions.
In addition, pricing is another crucial element; the sushi must be affordable.
In fact, due to recent inflation, I now hesitate to eat out even at Sushiro because of their relatively high prices.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

Thank you so much, Pie. It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Ticket Prices Rising at Japan's Amusement Parks' that you kindly selected for me on 15 August 2026.
According to a search engine, the following are the top five theme parks in Japan:
1) Tokyo Disneyland/DisneySea (Chiba Pref.)
2) Universal Studios Japan (Osaka Pref.)
3) Huis Ten Bosch (Nagasaki Pref.)
4) Ghibli Park (Aichi Pref.)
5) Fuji-Q Highland (Yamanashi Pref.)
Interestingly, Legoland is not included in this list.
I believe many visitors accept the price increases because each park has its own unique features.
However, I would prefer not to visit such parks, as the resulting fatigue would severely impede my work.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Mountain Climbing Down in Japan's Bear-Hit Regions' that you kindly selected for me on 14 August 2026.
The higher the number of incidents caused by wild bears, the fewer people climb mountains in Japan.
It is no wonder, as no one wants to be involved in such terrifying encounters.
However, I would like to climb Mount Fuji at least once in my life, because climbing the nation's highest peak is a symbolic achievement for Japanese people.
To do so safely, I will make thorough preparations, such as renting proper equipment and hiring a guide.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Heatwave Fuels a Significant Rise in Grave Visiting Proxy Services Across Japan' that you kindly selected for me on 13 August 2026.
Traditionally, most workers in Japan visit their ancestors' graves during the Obon holidays.
However, since many are tied up with work even during their time off, it is no wonder that grave-visiting proxy services have become more popular.
Meanwhile, some elderly people may voice criticism, arguing that outsourcing this tradition shows disrespect to the spirits of their ancestors.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Display Your Face at Tokyo's Shibuya Scramble' that you kindly selected for me on 12 August 2026.
I feel that this service is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to create lasting memories.
Most Japanese people recognize that the busiest and most popular intersection is the Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo.
Considering its immense popularity, the price of the service is quite reasonable, especially for tourists, thanks to the weak yen.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'South Korean Talent Eases Japan's Labor Shortage' that you kindly selected for me on 11 August 2026.
In fact, there are some South Korean colleagues in my workplace.
One of them is amazing—he can speak multiple languages, including his native language, English, and Japanese.
In modern society, it is standard for engineers to speak English.
Furthermore, it is also natural for staff in administrative departments to be multilingual.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Many Japanese Workers Consider Quitting Their Jobs' that you kindly selected for me on 10 August 2026.
People have always said things like, 'Young people these days lack grit and quit their jobs at the drop of a hat.'
This issue has remained unsolved for many years.
Senior workers, managers, and the HR department should recognize that young employees will inevitably quit sooner or later.
Therefore, every company should take countermeasures in advance against this issue.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'People Now Spend 14.5% of Their Lives in Poor Health' that you kindly selected for me on 8 August 2026.
It was not until I read the article that I understood the unfamiliar term 'morbidity gap'.
Nowadays, the average human lifespan is increasing, but healthy life expectancy is not keeping pace.
This discrepancy is exactly what the 'morbidity gap' means.
We must remember that average longevity statistics include people who are bedridden.
Therefore, people should strive to lead healthy lives until the very end of their lives.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material '2050 'Weather Forecast' Predicts Crisis for Japan' that you kindly selected for me on 7 August 2026.
I predict that the average temperature in Japan will rise by a maximum of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius by 2050.
Some people forecast that peak summer temperatures could reach at least 40 to 42 degrees.
However, we are striving to address current environmental issues by following regulations, ordinances, and laws.
For this reason, I believe the future temperature will not rise as drastically, contrary to pessimistic estimates.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Japan's Farming Population Continues to Decline' that you kindly selected for me on 6 August 2026.
Farming is a fundamental and crucial industry in Japan, even though the country imports various kinds of food from other countries.
However, the number of people engaged in agriculture has been decreasing for several reasons.
One of the reasons is a quite negative image of farmers.
Historically, farmers were exploited for many years.
For this reason, this negative perception is still shared in Japan, even though some modern farmers are prosperous.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'The Best Ways to Politely Correct Someone' that you kindly selected for me on 5 August 2026.
Correcting colleagues is a necessary behavior in the workplace, but I'm always careful not to offend them.
However, some of my colleagues mishandle these situations by reprimanding others in front of the team, using impolite words, and so on.
What I'm most conscious of is never using the word 'Why?'.
This word sounds like an interrogation and puts unnecessary pressure and fear on the other person.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Coffee May Protect Your Heart — Energy Drinks Don't' that you kindly selected for me on 4 August 2026.
In the past, the WHO used to claim that coffee was a substance that could cause cancer.
However, coffee is not all bad.
Today, according to recent medical research, it can even make your heart healthier.
Meanwhile, energy drinks containing caffeine are currently regarded as harmful beverages to our health.
I think that in the future, people will realize that energy drinks are not as bad as they thought, thanks to further advancements in medical research.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Global Startup Investment Reaches a Record High as AI Funding Surges' that you kindly selected for me on 3 August 2026.
There are start-up companies all over the world dealing with AI technologies.
However, as I mentioned in the lesson, I predict that most of them will either disappear or be acquired by current tech giants like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
This is because AI development requires massive amounts of data, which small and medium-sized companies simply do not have access to.
They cannot compete in this market.
The best they can hope for is to be bought out.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Run Clubs and Social Clubs Boom as People Seek Offline Friendship' that you kindly selected for me on 1 August 2026.
Nowadays, the number of single men and women in Japan is increasing due to changes in society and lifestyle.
Consequently, they are more likely to feel lonely compared to those who are married.
It's quite natural that social clubs are a good place to alleviate these negative feelings.
Of course, there are conventional places to find friends and partners, such as bars, but they are less cost-effective than joining a club.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.
