Hello, and good day! I’m Teacher Mel, from the beautiful islands of Cebu, here in the Philippines.
I truly believe that laughter is the best medicine.
In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, sketching, and listening to music.
By nature, I am a positive and nurturing person—perhaps that’s why I love teaching so much.
With every lesson I teach, I continue to learn something new and wonderful. While I may have shared many ideas before, each student brings something unique and special that teaches me in return.

When you think of a great leader what
qualities come to mind?
Can you become a great leader or do you
have to be born that way?
Nature or Nurture? It's a little bit of both
and nobody knows, but a study in the Journal
Twin Research as 247 twin pairs to fill out questionnaires about their behavior to determine who among them were leaders?
What they found was that more than half the traits that define a leader:
originality, popularity, sociability, judgment, aggressiveness, desire to excel, humor, cooperativeness, liveliness, athletic ability. These were possibly able to be pass down genetically or heritable, but what about the other half the traits like persistence, confidence? Well, another study found leaders can inspire others to be confident and thus, imbue their subordinates with confidence and creativity. So leaders can potentially teach leadership qualities to their followers. Leaders emerge because they are able to say the right things at the right time. Basically, if you're
a great leader then it's because you get people and also because you sink your brain with
theirs.

The teacher can explain and simplify difficult words well.
The lesson was conducted in a right pace.

It was an enjoyable and insightful class as always, based on the material 'Many US Teachers Work Extra Jobs — Report' that you kindly selected for me on 13 March 2026.
As I pointed out during the lesson, the majority of teachers in Japan are categorized as public servants.
Consequently, they are prohibited from holding side jobs due to strict government regulations.
Meanwhile, regular employees in major corporations are often permitted to take on secondary employment, because these companies want to promote the fact that they accept diverse work styles.
However, these employees rarely feel the need to do so, as they are generally content with their current financial stability and status.
It is quite ironic.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking your next class.
